Sep 16, 2024: Presentations by Peter Schweitzer and Ria-Maria Adams at the 29th International Polar Conference

InfraNorth members Peter Schweitzer and Ria-Maria Adams will be presenting at the 29th International Polar Conference, co-organized by the Austrian Polar Research Institute (APRI) and the German Society of Polar Research (DGP). This year’s conference will be held in Rauris, Austria, from September 16 – 20, under the motto “Dynamic Poles and High Mountain Environments.”

On Monday, September 16, at 13:00 CEST, Peter Schweitzer will give a presentation titled “Arctic Transport Infrastructures and Local Communities: What Works and What Doesn’t,” in one of the sessions dedicated to “Integrating Social and Natural Sciences: Collaborative and Inclusive Approaches Beyond Traditional Boundaries.”

On Tuesday, September 17, at 15:15 CEST, Ria-Maria Adams will present the paper “Temporalities of Arctic Tourism in Finnish Lapland: Infrastructural Perspectives,” as part of the same group of sessions.
