Dec 2, 2024: CRAFT Webinar with Peter Schweitzer, Olga Povoroznyuk and Stanislav Saas Ksenofontov

On Monday, December 2, 2024, at 19:00 CET, Peter Schweitzer, Olga Povoroznyuk, and Stanislav Saas Ksenofontov (Indigenous Sakha social scientist, Postdoctoral scholar at the University of Northern Iowa), will be guest speakers in the CRAFT webinar series “Engaging Social Sciences and Indigenous Perspectives in Arctic Infrastructure Research.” The event will be streamed live on Facebook.

The discussion will explore how social science research can help shape the future of Arctic infrastructure, including the following questions:

  • How from your perspective and experience can social sciences most effectively contribute to Arctic infrastructure research?
  • What does good community-engaged social science look like?
  • What are barriers to the integration of qualitative data with other data?

The webinar will be streamed on Facebook Live via the CRAFT Network Facebook Group (joining the group in advance is required). For those who do not have a Facebook account, it is possible to register here.

The session will begin with opening remarks from the speakers, followed by a group discussion. It will be moderated by Hannah Bradley (University of Virginia) and hosted by the CRAFT Research Coordination Network.
