Mar 22, 2024: InfraNorth Presentations at ASSW 2024
Olga Povoroznyuk, Alexandra Meyer, and Peter Schweitzer will represent InfraNorth at the Arctic Science Summit Week (ASSW) 2024 in Edinburgh, participating as part of the IASC Social and Human Working Group (SHWG). Their presentations are scheduled to take place during the SHWG open session on March 22, 2024, from 10:30 to 15:30 GMT at St Leonard’s Hall (St Trinnean’s Room) of the Pollock Estate, University of Edinburgh.
Olga Povoroznyuk will present the results of the IASC-funded RATIC community workshop “Towards Sustainable Infrastructure: Environmental, Social and Technological Aspects of Development in the Arctic,” which she co-convened with Howard Epstein (University of Virginia) during ASSW 2023 in Vienna. The workshop featured presentations from natural and social scientists, architects, and engineers who shared recent progress in projects around the Arctic that are addressing the impacts of infrastructure and climate on lands and people in the Far North.
Additionally, Alexandra Meyer, Olga Povoroznyuk, and Peter Schweitzer will present the InfraNorth project as part of a session dedicated to member presentations of SHWG-related activities.
